Este hogar pertenece a la “Fundación Consejo de Defensa del Niño” y su directora es la Sra. Carolina Campos Moscoso. Se realizaron 23 tapices con la técnica de patchwork y bordados de técnica libre.Trabajamos mas de 90 personas, tanto de Chile como de Cataluña. Los tapices se expusieron en el Hospital de Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Barcelona, durante todo el mes de Julio. y llegamos a vender 13 obras. El dinero obtenido, se envió en su totalidad a la residencia. Ellos por su lado hicieron varias reformas de desperfectos producidos por el terremoto y mejoras en las instalaciones. El resto de los tapices, esperamos exponerlos antes de que finalice este año y asi recaudar un poco mas. Haber participado en "abriendo puertas", haciendo estos tapices, ha aportado experiencias a varios niveles, tales como compartir solidariamente por una causa en común, "abriendo" el corazón, calmando la inquietud y ofreciendo con humildad y paciencia, la posibilidad de aportar algo Queremos dar las gracias por la maravillosa acogida que el proceso ha tenido, por la experiencia que nos ha aportado la gente. Incluso los que no conocían la técnica querían aprenderla para así poder colaborar. Sumamente agradecidos con todos los que han colaborado sin tener en cuenta el lugar a donde iba, porque hoy ha sido en Chile, mañana puede ser en cualquier lugar y de una manera desprendida y sumamente generosa, han dado lo único que tenían, su tiempo. Muchas, muchas gracias de parte de todos los damnificados que han recibido y recibirán en el futuro vuestra ayuda y de los que han participado, que se han sentido mejor que nunca ayudando a los que han sufrido en propia carne los embates de la naturaleza. “Todo es posible cuando se tiene un corazón generoso” Todas las personas que han colaborado cosiendo o bordando los tapices. estoy trabajando en exclusiva para una empresa del textil de Barcelona. At present, Ligia Unanue Studio, is in "Sleep" because I work exclusively for a textile company in Barcelona. COLLECTIONS In 1983, Ligia began working as a freelance designer for several Spanish clothing manufacturers, among them Mayoral, Tricton, Tutti Frutti, Ellery (Next Generation), Markibaby, Diacar and Prenatal. She has maintained a close professional relationship with each of them. Through her collaboration with labels such as La Squadra, Castañer, Pulligan (Pierre Cardin), she developed expertise with tricot, a warp-knit fabric. With Spaghetti and Parafine, she learned about fashion markets, particularly chain stores.
